The "Food Chain".
“If you make people think they're thinking, they'll love you; but if you really make them think, they'll hate you.”
What i do not like,
is how people can make you think that something you feel, isnt real.
Isn't that crazier than telling people who "see things" that they're crazy??
(I mean like, why don't you see things. Like seriously. Think about it. Why?)
Because now you're telling me,
(and all those "crazy" people),
to go against our better judgment,
something that has been built up,
and augmented to suit the very people that we have become.
And yes i know,
we have to consider the "psychopaths",
(people who kill people for fun etc...)
But because i do not believe in "othering"
(or perpetuating such thinking),
i don't believe that "psychopaths etc...." are excluded from what i am about to say.
[if you (psychopath etc...),
are reading this by any chance,
please don't kill me,
i have so much life to live] :
What you give is what you get,
I agree that circumstance and context play a big role in our lives as humans,
i mean, i know i'm not the first to say that happiness is expensive.
But what i am trying to reiterate is that,
you are what you make of the moment.
Whatever it may be,
the mark it makes on your life is about what you allow to haunt you.
I am talking beyond the trauma,
i am talking about those moments where you're completely alone :
"Remember: the time you feel lonely is the time you most need to be by yourself. Life's cruelest irony.”
― Douglas Coupland, "
It's just you, the sun and the revolving earth, and you just think,
(i believe that when we're alone we're all the same, so i'm going to progress on that note).
You think about what ties you to your obligations,
you almost weigh out what matters most to you at the time,
a quick routine priority checklist,
it doesn't rattle you,
it's not something that you necessarily remember doing,
but it happens and it matters.
This is why,
i don't entirely understand the workings of the animal kingdom,
but what i do understand is,
where we as the human race stand in the bigger spectrum of the..
let's call it the...
"food chain"
(not to be confused with the actual food chain).
So humans think we are number one, but we know we are not,
because if we were really number one on the "food chain",
we wouldn't behave like such cowards.
(yes i'm holding all of us accountable for this, all 6 billion + of us).
I am talking about the very concept of a zoo
(there are over 10,000 lucrative zoos worldwide),
making people pay,
to come and see animals,
that are held in domestic captivity against their wills.
Actually,
You know why i don't take you passionate vegetarians seriously?(non passionate vegetarians are in it to lose weight etc...)
Because you're all missing the whole point of not eating meat,
you're basically willingly martyring yourselves for a worthless cause
(big call, but, i made it, its now or never!),
WHAT'S A FUR COAT TO A ZOO? A ZOO!?!?!?!
paralleling so conveniently with slavery,
yet y'all be quiet.
(cue crickets)
MISS ME WITH YOUR FALSE PASSION!
it's the last thing i need in this life of sin,
(Beyonce taught me better!)
Now,
of course,
i wouldn't dare try tell these passionate vegetarians how to feel,
NO,
never,
i'm just here to once again point out,
one of many of life's contradictions,
and of course fan out the distinct waft of irony in the air.
“From even the greatest of horrors irony is seldom absent.”
